When this will happen
We will begin rolling out this feature in late May and expect the rollout to be complete late June.
How this will affect your organization
After end users sign into Teams, they will not need to sign in again on for any app that integrates SSO. This applies to both desktop (Mac and Windows) and mobile (Android and iOS).
End-users may be prompted to consent to basic app permissions if they haven’t already done so.
- For IT admins: there are no new controls associated with this feature.
- For end-users: they will be presented with an Azure AD consent/sign-in dialog only once instead of the current policy of every-other day.
- For developer: they will need to integrate their applications with this capability. Applications must go through resubmission, review and approval by the Microsoft Teams app validation team.
What you need to do to prepare
No additional steps to prepare for the new feature deployment. As is the case today, admins can review and approve/disable apps in Teams based on organization policy.
